Today I’ve been doing some sound stuff for my film and discovered a video I have not seen in like, two years. It’s me and Colan driving around the Crossgar area. Not on purpose, we just couldn’t work out how to actually get to Crossgar.
Here are the highlights!
How To Make Video Game Food

Real-life Pokemon poffins? Don’t mind if we do. A new site called Gourmet Gaming teaches you how to cook the dishes from some of your favorite video games. Be warned, though, that if anyone actually pulls of the Mince Meat Fruitcake from WOR we’re totally coming over.

Oscar Predictions, WHUT!
Much like the other years I’ve done this, expect this to be super wrong. (Bold is who I think will win, italics is who I’d like to win).
It’s been kind of weird year in Oscar-bait terms. Like, there was no ‘King’s Speech’ or even a ‘Black Swan’ that were immediately like ‘Oh, that will do well.’ Apart from ‘Puss In Boots’...
"Lana Del Rey: The strange story of the star who... →
At the end of the day… does it matter if she has a past? I’m not even the biggest fan of the girl but c’mon, did it ever seem like ‘Lana Del Rey’ as an idea was organic? Of course there has been some thought put into it, whether it was her or her label or both, does it really matter? There was probably as much thought put in as there was in the Strokes dressing like...

And My Favourite Album Of The Year WAAAAAS:
Angles- The Strokes
“I’m putting your patience to the test.” And with that opening line, Julian Casablancas is mocking us all. “Haha, I know you’re waiting for this! …Imma take my sweet time.” says he, with his excellent hair and awesome shoe collection. Curse him and his coolness. I love the Strokes. They are one of my favourite bands in the whole...
Other Things I Listened To (And Why They're Not...
Fastlife- Joe Jonas. …Sigh.
Sticks And Stones- Cher Lloyd. I find Cher Lloyd both adorable and terrifying. This is how I want all my popstars. Standouts: With Ur Love, Beautiful People.
Christmas- Michael Bublé. LOVED IT.
The King Of Limbs- Radiohead. DIDN’T LOVE IT.
Up All Night- One Direction Don’t get me wrong, I love me some 1D and had all the songs been as good as...
Albums Of The Year: 2.
Sky Full Of Holes- Fountains Of Wayne.
“At fifteen shoplifting was the only game she liked to play. At forty she’s so bored she thinks about it… then decides to pay.” I am 21 years old. That’s still pretty young in the grand scheme of the world I think. But despite my boyish charm and deep rooted love of toy shops, I am all about middle-aged ennui. The Paul...

Albums Of The Year: 3.
Mylo Xyloto- Coldplay. “I’d rather be a comma than a full stop.” That’s the kind of awkward sentiment that for better or worse, defines this band. As a painfully uncool human being, of course I love Coldplay. I didn’t always but you can only resist a giant, wordless chorus for so long. There aren’t a lot of bands like them at the minute in that they’re a...
Albums Of The Year: 4.
Lasers- Lupe Fiasco “Album on hold, whole world on hold.”
Lupe Fiasco’s debut was the first album that got me into hip-hop so I have a bit of a soft spot for him even when he’s rapping about being a cheeseburger or doing other silly things. This album was super-delayed and eventually his label had apparently shelved it. But you cannot tell the internet what it can’t...
