“The Peas began to pack up their belongings, satisfied with the day’s work.
“I have a good feeling about this guys.” Fergie enthused, “Sure it’s not what people expect from us, but I think a simple piano cover of this classic song will really make people see us in a different light! Those harmonies are beautiful!”
“I am super excited about this!” proclaimed Apl.De.Ap. He looked back to see William was not following them, “Aren’t you coming Will?”
“I’ll catch up with you guys,” he said, “I have something I want to touch up on an entirely different song I’m producing for… another… artist. Yeah. That’s something I do sometimes.”

When the Peas returned to the next day to the studio, they found William in the nude, draped across the mixing desk holding a disc in his hand. “Play me” was scrawled across it in what looked like mustard.
What the Peas then heard could not be unheard. At first it sounded like a regular cover of the song, albeit more in their usual style than the version recorded the day prior. …But then something took hold of the song. The bass got heavy, the beat relentless, the general tone descended into astounding stupidity. Without warning the words “DIRTY BIT” were blasting from the speaker with seemingly no purpose other than to annoy. Taboo could take no more. He shook William from his slumber and demanded of him, “What have you done!?”
William opened his bleary eyes slightly and whispered, “I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds.”
It was a reference that was lost on the room.”
